Bills Survive Late Push by Ravens, Advance to AFC Championship

The Buffalo Bills held off a fierce rally by the Baltimore Ravens to claim a 27-25 victory in a dramatic AFC Divisional Round showdown. The game, a heavyweight clash from start to finish, came down to a failed two-point conversion attempt by Ravens tight end Mark Andrews with just over a minute left in regulation.

Buffalo started strong, capitalizing on a critical second-quarter turnover when Lamar Jackson fumbled on a sack by Bills safety Damar Hamlin. Von Miller scooped up the loose ball and returned it 39 yards, setting up a Josh Allen touchdown plunge to give the Bills momentum and a 21-10 halftime lead.

The Ravens clawed their way back into contention in the second half, leaning on running back Derrick Henry, who scored on a 5-yard touchdown run to bring Baltimore within two points. However, Justin Tucker's earlier field goals and some missed red-zone opportunities kept the Ravens playing catch-up.

Tyler Bass delivered two clutch field goals for Buffalo in the fourth quarter, padding their lead to 27-19. With their backs against the wall, the Ravens mounted a final charge. Lamar Jackson orchestrated a late drive, capping it with a touchdown strike to Rashod Bateman, making it a 27-25 game. Baltimore went for the tie with a two-point attempt, trusting Andrews to deliver in the clutch.

However, Andrews’ catch attempt fell short, as a perfectly timed hit from linebacker Matt Milano jarred the ball loose. The Ravens’ hopes for a miracle faded as the Bills successfully ran out the clock.

The game highlighted the grit and resolve of both teams but ultimately showcased Buffalo’s ability to capitalize on critical mistakes. Josh Allen was steady, accounting for two rushing touchdowns, while Saquon Barkley powered the ground attack with key runs.

Buffalo now advances to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, where they’ll look to secure their first Super Bowl berth since the early 1990s. For Baltimore, it’s another heartbreaking postseason exit in a game that came down to just inches.
